Cricket Bat Weights
The bat definitions are based on balance and pick-up rather than weight. The approximate classifications are included below:
Light - 2lb 5oz - 2lb 9oz
Medium - 2lb 10oz - 2lb 13oz
Heavy - 2lb 13oz +
Cricket Bat Sizes
The following is a recommended bat size guideline, based on the height of the individual.
Size 4 - 4ft 9ins - 4ft 11ins
Size 5 - 4ft 11ins - 5ft 2ins
Size 6 - 5ft 2ins - 5ft 4ins
Harrow - 5ft 4ins - 5ft 8ins
Short Handle - 5ft 8ins & over.
Pad Sizes
A measurement should be taken from the top of the front of the foot (on which the pad sits) and the middle of the knee cap. This should give you a guide as to the most appropriate sized batting pad.
Boys - 32-35cm
Youths - 36-38cm
Mens - 39-43cm.
